Chapel of Silence and Oblivion

Vänersborg + Gothenburg 2019

I invited people visiting a local city festival into an old tent in the middle of Vänersborg. They were told they could sit or lay down in the tent and be silent for as long as they wished. Many of them stayed for an hour and some of them stayed shorter. In the tent they were given a welcome note and they met me and my assistant wearing white clothes. It was dark and a bit chilly but there were a lot of candles in the tent.

I put up the tent again in Gothenburg during the biennale GIBCA.
