POTATO PARADE 

Gothenburg 2021 + Vänersborg 2021

A walking performance in cooperation with jewellery artist Elin Flognman,

Trollhättan. I had a dream one night that she and I were walking together carrying a gigantic potato and I asked her if she wanted to help me realise my dream (she has been working with potatoes in her jewellery artistry for many years) 

So we made the potato together and then I sewed costumes for the carriers and the musician.

4 carriers,1 musician and a giant potato walked through Gothenburg as a part of GIBCA Extended, a biennale in Göteborg.

In the autumn we walked through Vänersborg as a part of a night time culture festival.

4 carriers without the musician this time in complete silence carried the giant potato through the crowd. “A stone from space!” a child exclaimed. “No, it’s a potato.” an adult answered.
