FATAL LOTTERY OF A HAIRY SOUL - on stage

Gothenburg 2024

I was happy and honoured to be invited to the 19th edition of Live Action, an international performance festival in Gothenburg. It was curated by Jonas Stampe and throughout the festival we were excellently guided by Joakim Stampe and Chuyia Chia.

I opened the festival on the stage of 3:e våningen in Gothenburg. I Invited the audience to answer 3 questions and to cut a piece of my hair because “the longer my hair grows the smaller my soul gets, there is too much hair on my hairy soul” and I chanted

HOW MUCH HAIR DO WE NEED TO CUT BEFORE WE REACH THE TRUTH?

The three questions were :

DO YOU BELIEVE IN A SOUL?

DO YOU BELIEVE IN HAIR?

DO YOU BELIEVE IN A HAIRY SOUL?

One person in the audience got really upset because he thought I put myself in extreme danger through this action. He meant that random people, by keeping a piece of my hair, could make bad things happen to me and make demons visit my soul.

I did not think anyone would cut my hair unless I offered them money. So I spinned the fortune wheel and it decided the amount of money and also the size of the tool they were about to use - 20 - scissors for nail cutting, 50 - bigger scissors, 100 - giant scissors and 5 - a cutlery knife.
